What is Advanced Electrolysis?

Advanced Electrolysis is a quick procedure, leaving no marks and minimal pain. A tiny, sterile needle is carefully inserted into, or beside the area that is being treated. A very small current of energy is passed into this part of the skin. This ‘dries up’ the vessels that feed into the area of concern, leading to a visible reduction in the appearance of the blemish.

Is it suitable for me?

Advanced Electrolysis is suitable for most skin types. If you are in generally good health, there are few reasons why you should not be able to undergo this treatment. We can advise whether this is the most suitable treatment for you.

Whilst there is no evidence that this treatment is harmful during pregnancy, you may be advised to wait until you have given birth before embarking on this treatment.

Aftercare

After Advanced Electrolysis, depending on the particular skin condition being treated and the size of it, you can expect some post treatment discomfort and scabbing as the area heals.

This is a temporary side effect. Results are visible immediately, with further improvements seen over a period of time, or following a series of sessions if required.

Many of our clients return to work and resume their normal activities immediately after a treatment.

If the area being treated is on your face, you may wish to plan treatment around social events if you do not wish to attend them before post-treatment healing has completed.

Depending on your individual requirements, you may need to book 2 or more treatments; this will be discussed with you during your consultation.
